The Mani Experiments #5

I know, I know, it's not perfectly polished but I think it doesn't really matter since it's, after all, an experiment. I did it in a hurry and I was lucky enough not to destroy it until it dried completely. I have a wedding to attend to this weekend so I believe I'm gonna enjoy this mani! As for the procedure, it's self explanatory, just an off-white nail polish and some glitter on the tips and a bit below. How do you think?

Το έκανα μάλιστα τόσο βιαστικά που ήμουν πολύ τυχερή που δεν καταστράφηκε εντελώς μέχρι να στεγνώσει. Έχω να πάω σε έναν γάμο το Σαββατοκύριακο και νομίζω ότι θα το χαρώ πολύ το σχεδιάκι αυτό. Όσο για τη διαδικασία, θεωρώ ότι μιλάει από μόνη της, ένα υπόλευκο βερνίκι και λίγο γκλίτερ στις άκρες (κι ελαφρώς πιο κάτω) κι είμαι έτοιμη. Πώς σας φαίνεται;

Summer Holiday Essentials

Yes, I'm back! I'm so glad to be able to write these lines right now, I've missed it. Still recovering, and trying to relax and be more positive and strong. So I took a few days to spend by the sea and enjoy summer. I packed my bag(s), except for my make up bag, which I substituted with a small purse; I just wanted to take essentials with me, no fuss, no mess. And of course it had to be about bright and bold colours, this was my firm decision this summer. Despite trying to keep it simple, you'll find that I still had a lot of bottles and jars to carry around, but you've got to believe me when I say that I tried my best to be and look as carefree as possible (*sigh*). So, skincare: check, haircare: check, make up: check! Let me show you what I mean. (Sunscreens, deodorants, shower gel and shampoo are not mentioned though, so let me know if you're interested in an update).

Pai Bedtime Beauty Essentials: Echium Collection (L.E)

A few months ago, I was fortunate enough to win a Pai Limited Edition set in a contest held by Beautybay.com. I hadn't had the chance to try any Pai products before and I was more than thrilled to have this opportunity. This set belongs to the "Age Confidence" line of the company, which is a better alternative to the - disappointing at times - term of "Anti-Aging" products. The set comprises of the Echium and Argan Gentle Eye Cream as well as the Echium and Amaranth Age Confidence Oil. It also contains a soft and luxurius Lavender Silk Eye Mask and it comes in this lovely box. Amazing.

A while ago, I started my own quest on the search for the perfect CC cream. Despite being tempted to begin with the korean ones, as I suspect they are the best, I decided to play safe and start with the western market ones instead.

The Mani Experiments #4

This time I got inspired by The Nailasaurus' lovely nail designs, and although I didn't put much effort to it (I was just experimenting), I'm happy with the results. It seems like a fun, great for summer mani and it sure is here to stay! It's also very quick and easy: I painted my nails in this lovely coral and when it was dry, I used a french manicure nail polish that came with a thin, long brush; I was done in 5 minutes.

| Αυτή τη φορά εμπνεύστηκα από τα υπέροχα σχέδια του blog The Nailasaurus, και παρόλο που δεν προσπάθησα ιδιαίτερα να είμαι προσεκτική (απλά πειραματιζόμουν), είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένη από το αποτέλεσμα. Το βρήκα διασκεδαστικό και άκρως καλοκαιρινό και σίγουρα ήρθε για να μείνει! Εξάλλου είναι πανεύκολο και πολύ γρήγορο: έβαψα τα νύχια μου με ένα όμορφο κοραλλί κι όταν στέγνωσαν, χρησιμοποίησα ένα λευκό βερνίκι για γαλλικό το οποίο μάλιστα διαθέτει λεπτό, μακρύ βουρτσάκι - σε 5 λεπτά ήταν έτοιμα τα νύχια μου!

The belated review: L' Oreal Paris Skin Perfection

Now I know, this review comes late. However, I don't really mind, since my goal is not to introduce, but  to share with you my opinion on some products that seemed to be really loved by beauty bloggers. I've been using the Day Moisturiser, Serum and Magic Touch Instant blur for a little less than a month now and I have formed an opinion. 

IT'S SKINCARE TIME: PRIORI & VITAGE

Not so long ago, there was a giveaway hosted by the Dorothy and Olive blog in collaboration with Courthouse Clinics. I was so happy that I was the lucky winner of a Priori and Vitage skincare combo prize, it literally made my day! If you still haven't checked out dorothyandolive.com, you should. I am now positive that I like this "mani experiments" thing. I really enjoy playing around with different designs, tools and nail polishes, and even though the results might not be what you would call "professional", well at least it's so fun! Here's my no. 2 experiment with spring colours and some black glitter (to glam it up a bit!).

The trend: Purple

Call it purple, lilac, mauve, lavender, whatever. The thing is that it is a great colour.
